1979
Members except for Angelo, lived in San Fernaido valley, CA, were originally from Crenshaw, which was said to be more dangerous place than Bronx, New York and the place of low-income people. They met Angelo at the "Junior Highschool" of Woodland Hills and they joined as a band called "Hot Ice," which was the predecessor of Fishbone. They, 15 members played the music like Funkadelic, Rick James, Zeppelin were blended. After that, they have changed their name frequently as Counter Attack, Diamonds&Thangs, MEGATRON. They changed their form of the band as 6 members and decided to become a professional band and started to play as the opening act of the band like The Untouchables. "Our making of music starts with improvisation. We often got together and shouted or played at Fish's house... Although we didn't have many musical instruments because we were all poor." Angelo talks.

1985
April:They made their debut from CBS. Only after three months later, they played in N.Y.C. and all around the U.S.A.
July 17:Toured N.Y.C., Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, etc.
September 21:Released their first EP mini album, "Fishbone."

1986
Jun:Released 12 inch version of "Party At Ground Zero"(COLUMBIA/44-05326:US Vinyl). It included [Vapor Mix], [Visual Mix], and "Skankin To The beat"(previously unreleased).
Released 12 inch version of "Party At Ground Zero [Extended Version] "(CBS/229:US Vinyl). It also included "V.T.T.L.O.T.F.D.G.F."
Released second album "IN YOUR FACE."

Released 12 inch version of "When Problems Arise." It included [MIX ISRISEN], [PROBLEMATIC MIX ],[ALBUM MIX].
Released "INTERCHORDS"(CAS 1416S1:US? Vinyl) as a promotional purpose? The contents were live tracks and introductions by the members!!!
Toured all around the U.S.A. with Mr. Bungle.
July 11:They firstly came to Japan and performed at Shibuya-Koukai-Dou.
July 13:Performed at Blues Festival(!) held at "Hibiya Yagai Ongaku-do."

John Bigham(March 1969,Lidsville, USA:Guitarist) joined the band in later 1989 or early 1990.
Came to Japan third times.
Released Japanese only mini CD "Freddie's Dead"(SONY/12EP 8025:JP CD). It included [12' MIX],[URBAN MIX], [ZEONIQMIX].

Released "set the booty up right bonin' in the boneyard"(Columbia/44K73549:US CD).

Released a cassette tape included three songs from the record label, "Nuttsactor 5." In Japan, TOWER RECORDS secretly sold this tape with Angelo's "Doctor MaddVibe's/COMPREHENSIVE Linkology"(collected poems) with Angelo's autograph!
February 19 to March 18:Toured with Weapon of Choice.
September:Chris Dowd participated in "Open Season" of Stubborn All-Stars.

Fishbone contracted with Rowdy Records.

July 1:Angelo participated in "Best of Times"(Murphy's Law) as a sax player and arranger.
July 28:Appeared in "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'00" in Japan. They played two times a day. The night before, in the eve festival, they were on the stage with Gaz Mayall! Angelo said he woke up in the midst of playing "Everyday Sunshine" which was the first tune at their morning stage because he was drinking around with Gaz lately last night(but he dived into crowd as usual during this tune ...). The morning stage was on air lively at FM radio program.
September:Dr.Maddvibe held a spoken word concert tour "The fall 2000" with Jello Biafra(ex. Dead Kennedys), M.Doughty(ex. Soul Coughing).
October 3:Dirty Walt released his first album, "To Put It Bluntly"(TRIPLE X Records/51276-2:UK CD) as the name of "Dirty Walt and the Colombus Sanatation." Norwood and Stewart from Fishbone participated. You can also see the name of John Bigham.
October 17:John Bigham participated in Everlast's "Eat at Whitey's."
October 30 to November 2:Japan Tour.
November 13 to December 31:Toured.
